Annual General Meeting
General Information
ESBC holds an annual meeting and symposium, usually in October. The meeting and symposium are both open to the public, and anyone who is interested is encouraged to attend.
As part of the symposium, contributed student talks are evaluated and the best talks are awarded a prize. These prizes, along with the societies’ other awards, are presented at the annual meeting. See our awards page for details.

It is our pleasure to announce the upcoming Entomological Society of BC Annual Conference and AGM! The conference theme this year is “Connections: merging methods, sharing perspectives, and connecting people”. This year’s theme embraces our new hybrid meeting format by celebrating the value of bringing different approaches together in entomology. From field observations and lab experiments to community science, modelling, and emerging monitoring technologies, we aim to bring together diverse approaches and build connections across disciplines, institutions, and communities, both in-person and online.
