The Entomological Society of British Columbia’s (ESBC) 2019 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Symposium will take place in Victoria, BC, at the Pacific Forestry Center, 506 Burnside Rd W, from October 4 - 5.

The theme for this year's ESBC's Symposium is “The “Insect Apocalypse”: Good and Bad News about Insect Diversity”.

AGM Information (Friday October 4)

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of ESBC will be held at Pacific Forestry Centre, 506 Burnside Rd. W., Victoria, BC, with a contributed papers session and business meeting to follow.

Contributions for oral presentation in the contributed papers session are welcome from members of ESBC, students, and other interested entomologists. Students are especially encouraged to submit papers.

Presentations are scheduled for 15 minutes each including time for questions.  There are no poster presentations.

Symposium Information (Saturday October 5)

The Symposium will also be open to the general public.

Student Awards

Prizes are awarded for the best student oral presentations in BSc, MSc and PhD categories.

**Reminder to students**: Apply for the Student Scholarships, due Sept 15, to Secretary@entsocbc.ca. **NOTE** Application deadline extended to Sept. 15!
