See flier for more details.
Ticks are an important part of Canadian biodiversity and are also of significant concern to the community, because they are vectors of many diseases that affect humans, livestock, and wildlife. This work not only provides information to identify ticks in Canada, but also contains a wealth of biological information, and a comprehensive overview of ticks as vectors of diseases.
The Biological Survey of Canada (www.biologicalsurvey.ca) is a network of science professionals interested in all aspects of biodiversity. Part of our mandate is to publish works that aid in the understanding of biological diversity in Canada.
