The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of ESBC will be held in Kamloops, BC on Friday, October 16, 2015 and the Symposium ("Outbreaks, Climate Change, and Shifting Priorities: The Future of Forest Entomology") on Saturday, October 17, 2015. Contributed papers will be presented at the AGM on October 16th. This year we will be hosting an insect photography workshop on Friday evening. Download the meeting poster.

Early registration (until October 9, 2015): Late registration (after October 9, 2015):
Student members: $15 per day
Regular members and public: $30 per day
Student members: $25 per day
Regular members and public: $45 per day
Photography workshop: $10 per member


We are seeking oral presentations for the AGM. Contributions are welcome from members of ESBC, students, and other interested entomologists.  Please encourage your students to submit papers — cash prizes will be awarded for best BSc, MSc & PhD student presentations. Oral presentations will be scheduled for 15 minutes each including time for questions. There will be no poster presentations.

If you are interested in presenting at the ESBC AGM, please send a title and short abstract (50 words or less) via email to Steve Perlman at by October 2, 2015.


Recipients of the Student Oral Presentation Awards and Graduate Student Scholarship Competition are presented annually at the AGM. For more information on student prizes, please see our scholarship and awards page. The deadline for the Graduate Student Scholarship Competition is October 2, 2015.
